Be Here Now is a classic doorway for western seekers to the heart of yoga illuminated by Ram Dass and his guru, Maharaj-ji. Bhakti is a key piece of Jivamukti Yoga Method as one of five tenets that offer an integrated yoga path to liberation for the modern student, with asana practices interwoven with spiritual storytelling and chanting of devotional mantra, a fertile ground for a deep dive into Be Here Now. Alongside our daily practices, we’ll walk through Be Here Now and work together to discover how we might integrate Ram Dass’s insights into our own personal spirituality.

When ''Here'' is tranquil Bali, perhaps the idea that we are bliss, concealed within the tapestry of human experience, is a little more tangible. Katherine practices and teaches yoga and meditation with an emphasis on becoming fit, as her beloved teacher Sharon Gannon puts it, to be an instrument of the divine. Katherine started to practice at the gym in summer 2013 then quickly found and fell in love with Jivamukti Yoga when she moved to New York City that fall. In the past decade she has studied extensively with her teachers in New York, Europe, India, and SE Asia, accumulating more than 1000 hours of teacher training and ashram immersion experiences. Her retreats blend ease, joy, and deep spiritual work in a context that serves practitioners of all faiths. In class, Katherine offers authentic and playful insight on how to take the practices we learn on our mats into the real world.

She offers supportive experiences of precise alignment and breath with hands on assists to eclectic, high vibe playlists, weaving in classical yoga philosophy, personal stories and examples, plus if you’re lucky, bad jokes. She plays harmonium and is a joyful kirtan singer. She is kind, humble, humorous, and relatable as a teacher.
